Happy 85th, Amazing Bassist Gordon Edwards!

50 years ago, I got to work with an amazing bassist, Gordon Edwards. He did those amazing bass lines on John Lennon Mind Games album. It was the first time John had worked with some of top NY session guys which included David Spinozza, Kenny Ascher, Arthur Jenkins, Michael Brecker as a band. So here I am with Gordon at the Bitter End in NYC to celebrate his 85th birthday with other musicians that have played with him, influenced by him and ALL love him. Night organized by guitarist Mick Gaffney. Chris Parker and Clint deGanon traded off on the drums. Gordon would drop in with his bass, Robbie Kondor on keyboards, vocals and keyboards Jonny Rosch. I know there are a few I didn’t mention because I don’t remember their names but all who performed were all so talented. Gordon is a talented, wonderful, funny and witty guy and all came out for him. Oh yes…he also had this amazing band called Stuff. Blessed to be his friend after all these years and to hear all that great music.
